The Animal Arts Jubilee has ended, but tickets are still available for Maple Farm Sanctuary's 2017 Thanksgiving Potluck & Tours on November 18. We hope to see you there!

PAINT PARTY

We hope you will join us for the inaugural MFS Paint Party, running from 11am-1pm.

In honor of the season, we will be featuring a painting of rescued goat Pumpkin! A local artist will give you step-by-step instructions to create your own beautiful and festive 12"x15" painting of Pumpkin sunning herself in the back paddock of the sanctuary. All art supplies will be provided and are vegan.

If you would like to stay for the potluck, please purchase a separate potluck ticket and bring your food at the beginning of the Paint Party. We have a refrigerator to store cold food and ovens to keep hot food warm.

The Paint Party is limited to 30 participants and tickets must be purchased in advance. All attendees must be 12 years of age or older.

POTLUCK, PERFORMANCE & TOUR EVENT

Spend your afternoon enjoying delicious vegan food while watching an inspiring performance—and then top it off with a sanctuary tour and opportunity to express your own artistic side.

The potluck event schedule is as follows:

  • 1pm: Potluck begins
  • 2pm-3pm: Performance of "Food Chain Re-Imagined"
  • 3pm-5pm: Sanctuary tours and art stations

ABOUT FOOD CHAIN RE-IMAGINED

While you eat, you will be treated to a preview performance of "Food Chain Re-Imagined," a multi-arts performance featuring spoken word by Donald Vincent of Mr. Hip Presents and music by Compassion Arts, performed by a vocal quartet. This special performance follows a debut in Symphony Space in New York City presented by Compassion Arts and the Culture & Animals Foundation.

TOURS AND ART STATIONS

We will lead several successive small tours of the sanctuary beginning at 3pm. While tours are taking place, you can also participate in a variety of art projects that are suitable for both adults and children, including creating animal masks for Halloween.

POTLUCK FOOD INFORMATION

Drinks will be provided. Please bring a vegan dish to serve a minimum of 8 hungry vegans. Kindly refrain from using any animal products in your dish, this includes meat, fish, eggs, dairy, and honey. It's easier than it sounds, check out these links for tips and inspiration!

Label your dish with your name so it can be returned to you at the end of the potluck. Please also attach a list of ingredients or the recipe for those with food allergies.

Children under 12 are free for the potluck and do not need to bring a dish. Please order child tickets in advance (cost is $0) to let us know they will be attending.

Please purchase your potluck tickets in advance, as our potlucks often sell out.
